M. K. Bektenova conducted research in Pavlodar and Bayanaul on the legacy of Khoja Ahmed Yasawi and its reflection in the works of Mashkhur Zhusup Kopeyev. Interviews with historians, philosophers and theologians explored the influence of Yasawi’s teachings on Kazakh spiritual culture, literature and worldview. Research was also carried out at the Mashkhur Zhusup Kopeyev Museum.

Expert meetings and a sociological survey examined the influence of Yasawi’s teachings and Sufi philosophy on the culture and worldview of Turkic peoples. A 1914 edition of Diwan-i Hikmet was identified and partially digitised at the National Library of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Agreements were reached on scientific cooperation and support for further field research in Batken.
